Rebecca is a newcomer to L.A., and hails from the mean streets of
Chicago's Northwest side...okay, maybe not such mean streets! But
doesn't that make her sound tough?
In Chicago, Rebecca graduated
from the famous Second City conservatory, and performed improv and
sketch comedy all over the city. She also acted regularly in TV,
film, theatre, commercials/industrials, and print.
Eager to learn
everything she could about the biz, she interned at the Illinois Film Office,
and at a busy casting office. She assisted in casting many feature films and commercials, including "Grace is Gone" starring John Cusack (Sundance Audience Award), "Quebec" starring John C. Reilly, and spots for Walmart, Febreze, and Kid Cuisine.
After freezing through many
winters, Rebecca finally traded in the cold for palm trees and
sunshine, and she's very glad she did! Since moving to L.A., she's
been auditioning and booking like crazy! (See
Big News!
).
Eager to learn even
more about the business in L.A., she's interned with
theatrical agent Craig Wyckoff, and has worked as a casting assistant on the feature film "Stacy's Mom."
Besides
acting, Rebecca loves to write, and completed the UCLA Professional
Program in Screenwriting this past summer. She's working on a feature
film screenplay, and sketches for the theatre company she belongs to, The Strait Jacket Society.
Rebecca is also an avid
reader (currently reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett, "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, and "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.
She loves going to museums, and exploring her new city. She is also a Route 66 enthusiast, and made her first 2,200 mile long cross-country journey when moving to L.A. last year.
Rebecca works
as a clinical massage therapist in Los Angeles and lives in Hollywood.
